your star-like eyes
above my bed
float to rest over
mine
your body becomes
and exists
in between sheets
singular and
beautiful
like no other
it breathes as if
it lives and
it trembles as if
it’s dying
my arms around you
tighten
leaving marks on
your
long forgotten skin

and I breath out:

how can you be dead
when you give me all this
life?

Poems for Jeffrey, 2023

when everyone is sleeping
I am awake
breathing in silence
and waiting for you
to enter my bed
and my soul
waiting for you
to tell me
that you forgot about the world
and the moon
and I will tell you fantasies
with one hand over your eyes
one hand over you heart
it’s all good
it’s all right
